Decriminalize, do NOT legalize. Legalization just wraps the whole enchilada up in a bunch of strange requirements and regulations designed to keep the small business owner out while subsidizing the industry plants. This is why we see a bunch of cops and military losers running dispensaries.
Obviously, the natural progession would be street dealers opening store fronts, but because of "legalization", it has been easy for govt to take control of farmers and distrubuters and place their buddies where they want them. They get all the dupes buying their product because "it's on shelves with lights shining on it wwwoooowwww!1" As soon as they've become loyal and the following will benefit the string-pullers politically, the product prices skyrocket, the quality plummets, and the dupes stand with thier mouths open wondering who could have predicted this.
Oh, just everyone ever who knows anything whatever about economics. Lol.
That said, nothing will ever stop the real human beings of the Earth from doing as they please. There are way more of the real people than there are of the rulers and their scammin little lackeys. It's going to continue to get hotter and hotter for the scum at the top.
